We can joke about a politician’s sanity or intelligence or competence – or lack thereof. We can even do it to an online following – up to a point. Where do you draw the line criticizing government?
From the article: Rule By Criminals: When Dissidents Become Enemies Of The State
“The government’s list of so-called “enemies of the state” is growing by the day.
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is merely one of the most visible victims of the police state’s war on dissidents and whistleblowers. Five years ago, on April 11, 2019, police arrested Assange for daring to access and disclose military documents that portray the U.S. government and its endless wars abroad as reckless, irresponsible, immoral and responsible for thousands of civilian deaths.
Included among the leaked materials was gunsight video footage from two U.S. AH-64 Apache helicopters engaged in a series of air-to-ground attacks while American air crew laughed at some of the casualties. Among the casualties were two Reuters correspondents who were gunned down after their cameras were mistaken for weapons and a driver who stopped to help one of the journalists. The driver’s two children, who happened to be in the van at the time it was fired upon by U.S. forces, suffered serious injuries.
There is nothing defensible about crimes such as these perpetrated by the government. When any government becomes almost indistinguishable from the evil it claims to be fighting—whether that evil takes the form of war, terrorism, torture, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, murder, violence, theft, pornography, scientific experimentations or some other diabolical means of inflicting pain, suffering and servitude on humanity—that government has lost its claim to legitimacy….
It is easy to remain silent in the face of evil.
What is harder—what we lack today and so desperately need—are those with moral courage who will risk their freedoms and lives in order to speak out against evil in its many forms.
Throughout history, individuals or groups of individuals have risen up to challenge the injustices of their age. Nazi Germany had its Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The gulags of the Soviet Union were challenged by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. America had its color-coded system of racial segregation and warmongering called out for what it was, blatant discrimination and profiteering, by Martin Luther King Jr.
And then there was Jesus Christ, an itinerant preacher and revolutionary activist, who not only died challenging the police state of his day—namely, the Roman Empire—but provided a blueprint for civil disobedience that would be followed by those, religious and otherwise, who came after him.”
But in every example above the man was arrested. Most of us want to avoid that.
In a fascist country like Britain, disobedience for wrongthink will land you in jail. You can’t speak about topics like immigration unless you agree with the government narrative. Read: London Calling: Police Chief Threatens To Arrest People Around The World For Online Speech Another article that came out today: “It’s Not OK Any More”: UK Free Speech Crack-Down Targets “Extremist Ideologies” reports: “The crackdown on free speech continues in the United Kingdom as officials use recent rioting to justify a roundup of citizens who they view as “pushing harmful and hateful beliefs.” ….In my book, “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage,” I discuss how difficult it is to get a free people to give up freedoms. They have to be afraid, very afraid.… The recent anti-immigration riots have given officials a renewed opportunity to use anti-free speech laws to target those with opposing views. For years, I have been writing about the decline of free speech in the United Kingdom and the steady stream of arrests. A man was convicted for sending a tweet while drunk referring to dead soldiers. Another was arrested for an anti-police t-shirt. Another was arrested for calling the Irish boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend a “leprechaun.” Yet another was arrested for singing “Kung Fu Fighting.” A teenager was arrested for protesting outside of a Scientology center with a sign calling the religion a “cult.” ….For those Americans who have remained silent during as this anti-free speech movement grows, you need only to look to the United Kingdom to see what this movement means for our “indispensable right.” That wave has now reached our shores and it will require each one of us to defend a right that defines us all.”
It’s not the topic they crack down on that’s important – it’s the idea that they can limit any free speech.
There’s a British guy who makes videos on Youtube about the magnetic measurements of the coming pole shift catastrophe, who recently had a “video” which was nothing to do with the usual topics like measuring how much further the Magnetic North Pole has been moving towards Russia – just a photo of their leader with the caption “Nazi Wanker” for a few minutes. I commented: “As an author who wrote about pole shift evidence, I’m not even disappointed at the lack of pole shift content in this video – because I agree this traitorous wanker looks at Orwell’s 1984 like an instruction manual.”
And in Germany: “The German government has unveiled plans to allow police to secretly raid the homes of citizens who view or share non-mainstream content on social media. Der Spiegel and RND reported that the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) may soon be allowed raid homes secretly and without a warrant. According to the draft, police could also install spyware on suspects’ computers or smartphones and conduct covert searches of their homes if they are suspected to have anti-establishment views.” https://thepeoplesvoice.tv/german-police-begin-raiding-homes-of-citizens-who-share-non-mainstream-content-online/
How long before the same trends become laws in the United States and Canada?
Governments today are implementing policies that sometimes seem as if the politicians are not just corrupt, greedy, and immoral – but psychopathic and possibly worshipping a would-be deity hell bent on bringing down the entire system. The destruction of the family, the economy, rule of law, the American dream – the intentional triggering of WWIII – massive depopulation – it really seems like many leaders want these things.
But how much are we allowed to criticize? How specific can we be? What actions can we take, or encourage others to take – to prevent the madness playing out? Evil triumphs when good men do nothing…. But evil has become entrenched in positions of power; the men listed above ended up imprisoned, assassinated, hung, shot, and crucified. At what point must we no longer remain so silent? If we are the proverbial frog in the slowly boiling pot, is there anything that will make us jump to protect ourselves? Or are we just good little sheep, quiet even as we are led to the slaughter? Where do you draw the line and take a risk to stand up against evil for what is right? Or maybe I’m just imagining big problems when everything is really in good, competent hands looking out for our best interests….
