I’m not talking about the 15th century, when the Spanish were kicking Islamic rule out in western Europe, and the Turks were conquering Constantinople and spreading into eastern Europe. And for once I’m not talking about the Nostradamus prophecies that describe a third world war with an Islamic invasion of Europe (ending by late 2028.) No, I’m talking about the recent headline: “A new poll conducted after the beheading of a teacher in Paris has found that 79% of French people believe Islamism has “declared war” on their country.“
“The survey was carried out by polling firm Ifop following the jihadist murder of geography teacher Samuel Paty, who was targeted for showing pupils cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad during a lesson about freedom of expression.” He was giving a lesson about the Islamic terrorist attack against the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, when many of their staff were gunned down after publishing drawings of Islam’s founder – Mohammad. Paty told his class that the drawings were essential to understanding the attack, and told his students that anyone who felt such cartoons would be offensive to see was welcome to leave the classroom while they were shown. Shortly afterwards, he was decapitated.
….10/29/20 Update: “Three people have been killed in a knife attack at a church in the French city of Nice. Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said there had been a “terrorist attack at the heart of the Notre-Dame basilica”.
One elderly victim who had come to pray was “virtually beheaded”. A suspect was shot and detained shortly afterwards.
Mr Estrosi spoke of “Islamo-fascism” and that the suspect had “repeated endlessly ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is greatest).”
….Police have not suggested a motive for the attack in Nice.”
Hmmmm. Police don’t know the motive. Suspect was yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’. Yeah, too bad that doesn’t give us any clues to his motivation.
France’s Macron, horrible leader that he is, finally did something in his own nation’s favor and started speaking out against Islamists. For this outrageous behavior, Turkish dictator Erdogan said “Macron needed a mental health check for pledging to defend secular values and fight radical Islam.”
Unfortunately this pales in comparison to statements from Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, who tweeted: “Muslims have right to be angry and to kill millions of French people.”
If you think tensions are rising between France and Turkey, or Greece and Turkey, or Armenia and Azerbaijan, or between the Christian and Islamic nations in general – you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet. Whether you take such things seriously or believe he was just a 16th century con man, the French prophet Nostradamus did describe the escalating events that began in 2001 and lead into WWIII – ending by late 2028.
