ZOD, I think we must first get to the Earth magnetic field at least 40% down in order to have a tipping point.
AFAIK, the magnetic field is now circa 20% down.
JtA, who knows how fresh and accurate magnetic field data is? All we can really go on is the intensity of the distractions levelled against the masses.
