Dr. Guy McPherson USED TO believe that moving south (say, New Zealand) could save you from the natural and man-made disasters he felt would exterminate most of humanity. He has previously mentioned “abrupt climate change leading to near term human extinction” but regarding the causes I don’t know if he was more worried about a POLE SHIFT or global warming or a nuclear WWIII or some combination of problems… but in a recent video he explains that he no longer believes any location is 100% safe, and he has chosen an equatorial hideout in Belize while he spends the last years he can count on having as best as possible, focusing on personal growth instead of doomsday fears.

There are three classes of survivor:
1) Those in the long prepared (covertly financed) ‘continuity of technologically advanced civilisation’ shelters – 50% of which may well be wiped out anyway.
2) Those who knew the nature of pole shift, and improved their chances of being in the right place at the right time.
3) Those surprised by events, but, by some fluke, in the right place at the right time.
Either way, life after cataclysm will be so difficult topside (psychologically, let alone aything else), that I suspect those in the shelters may have been born in them, viz The Island, Logan’s Run, A Boy and His Dog, etc.
