The Economist usually has an interesting cover in December with predictions depicted in a collage with dozens or hundreds of images and symbols for the coming new year.  Conspiracy theorists love to try to decipher these complicated images.  But for 2019 the original cover is black and devoid of symbolism.

Are we supposed to read into this void of blackness and assume it portends “the end”?

Although I do see many prophetic signs pointing to TEOTWAWKI in late 2019, (hence my book: End Times and 2019) I don’t assume this is what the staff of the Economist wants to tell us.  And they quickly came out with a new, more detailed cover – full of backwards writing and symbolic images to analyze.
