Peace in the Middle East – it seems like a quest for the Holy Grail – an impossible task when multiple ethnicities and religions believe the land is sacred and holy – and wholly theirs to claim for themselves.

“From the dust jacket of the book “From Time Immemorial” by Joan Peters: “Joan Peters strikes a heavy blow against the broad consensus about ‘the Palestinians’ and the assumption that Palestinian rights are at the heart of the Arab Israeli conflict . . .”From Time Immemorial” supplies abundant justification for reversing the moral and legal presumptions that have cast Israel in the role of defendant before the court of world opinion.” And from the Washington Post, “A remarkable document in itself. . . . The refugees are not the problem but the excuse.

“Starting out to write a book supporting the Palestinian cause, her exhaustive research caused her to turn 180 degrees. What Peters uncovered was that the Palestinian problem, blamed by so many on Israel, turned out to have resulted from a monstrous historical hoax. Piecing together documents tucked away in old Ottoman and British records, dating from the beginning of the Israelis return to their homeland, like an expert detective, Peters uncovered the crime against the Jews…”

Obviously the Jewish people’s ancient homeland is Judea, and we know King David conquered and built up what is now Jerusalem around 3,000 years ago as his capital.  Islam started in what is now Saudi Arabia and the Arab people spread out from Arabia.  As Islam grew into a powerful new religious empire, it staked claims on the other religious capitals of Jerusalem, Constantinople, and even Rome – that it should someday fall to Islam.  Italy currently seems to be willing to allow it…

Israelis are not so passive about losing control of Jerusalem and Israel.

I commented on one site after the article/opinion piece quoted above:

“No one there cares about anything but their own group’s claim.  The Jews have the most ancient claim and they have control of Israel now.  Add the fact that Israel is their only nation, and unlike “Palestinian” Arabs – the Jews do not have dozens of other alternative Jewish nations like the many Arab nations.  Arab leadership has made Arab claims over all the land, and claimed the need for a unique heritage and a new Palestinian homeland through Yassir Arafat (born and raised in Egypt) or the current leader Mahmoud Abbas who was raised in Syria (where he studied law) and then went to Moscow’s Patrice Lumumba University where they trained future foreign leaders for pro-Soviet uprisings…  Most Jordanians are “Palestinian” and Arafat even tried to take over Jordan in 1970… Bottom line, the Arabs in Israel already have their homeland in Jordan, and can blend right in linguistically and culturally in Egypt and other Arab nations too.  If the Arabs “lose their claims” they still have dozens of other Arab nations.  The Jews in Israel can’t surrender their claims and fall back to the next Jewish nation… and Israeli Jews know they will probably suffer another Holocaust type genocide if they are defeated.”

Unfortunately for Israel, Bible prophecy warns that all end times prophecy will be fulfilled and witnessed by the generation that sees Israel re-born as a nation.  Since Israeli independence came in May 1948, we are already over 69 years into that “generation” which is often referred to having a maximum of 70-80 years.  And the Bible could not be more clear – Israel will suffer horribly under foreign occupation by a people led by an anti-christ (Maybe just a Christ-denying Muslim?  or a full on Supernaturally Satanic) leader.  Even Nostradamus repeatedly warned in his prophecies that Israel will be conquered and suffer horribly in the early 21st century
