“The Bible has much to say about the Antichrist and his kingdom here on earth. When we look at what the Bible says, we see that he will be tremendously loved and popular—even worshiped, not only by the citizens of the country he controls, but by the whole world. The world will embrace him, follow him, and blindly trust him. As the saying goes, they will drink the Kool-Aid.

…Knee-jerk reactions have led leaders and governments to change policy and set up political structures that enable individuals to control vast territories, while the citizens of these nations give up their rights in the common interest, in the name of fighting a common enemy.

These policies and changes are the exact platform that Antichrist will need, prior to his ascension, to fulfill his calling. According to the book of Revelation, chapter 13, he will have tight controls on the three realms of politics, religion and the financial or economic sectors. By maintaining very tight control, no one will be able to live in freedom without total submission to him, his policies and his agenda.

The last known “Antichrist”-type figure to have risen to international prominence was a self-proclaimed Christian, who in fact was not Christian at all: Adolf Hitler. The citizens of his nation loved him, trusted him, followed him, and even worshipped him in a way. They saluted and submitted themselves to him completely, and felt great joy in doing so. When we look at Hitler’s strategy to first control Germany and then control the world, we have to look at what he said: “To conquer a nation, first disarm its citizens.” Effectively, take away any opportunity for armed resistance, pushback or revolt. One of the great leaders and founding fathers of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, said the exact opposite: “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

The second phase of the “Kool Aid” social ideas that the world is buying into involves rallying the populace around a common cause, fighting a common enemy for the common good. This involves giving up individual rights for the purpose of stopping the enemy. We see the reactive policies of leaders after terrorist incidents such as those in Paris or San Bernardino urging that citizens give up arms, as if taking away guns would stop the actions of someone who’s willing to die or go to any length to kill innocent people.

The fact remains that guns do not kill people; people kill people. The nation with the highest per capita gun ownership is Switzerland, where every adult must own a firearm for the defense of the nation. Nonetheless, they have very low murder rates. No matter what your politics are on the subject—and I am not trying to be political—you must consider that any right that is taken away from us as citizens is a right that can and may be used against us by those governing us.”

A bit more was said at the full original article cited above.

Of course I agree that gun restrictions are on the slippery slope into dictatorship – quite possibly under the Antichrist.
