Though I think Jim is right, he has been making the same call for years. He has been saying “the sky is falling” sounding like Chicken Little for so long he sounds wrong, but it will happen someday and probably by early 2016 at the latest.

You can’t print money like running water, back it with nothing, artificially suppress interest rates, and expect long term stability.
Most people are too ignorant on the topic of money to understand why the dollar system is inherently worthless like Monopoly money, just an I.O.U. for anything of real value – which collapses when people no longer have faith in the entity backing it. Dollars are like checks written against the checking account of someone you know is a bankrupt pathological liar.
Buy tangible things to protect yourself from hyperinflation. Gold, silver, lead, land, food, supplies – anything in your possession will be better than worthless I.O.U.s when the dollar inevitably crashes into hyperinflation. China, Russia, and other nations may offer better, more stable, more inherently valuable currencies for trade backed by large stashes of accumulated gold that America no longer has. One trigger for dollar collapse will be other major nations switching away from dollars for international trade and switching to Chinese Yuan or gold. Why would anyone want to hold dollars as the world realizes they are losing money to rapid inflation in the dollar system – once a major nation offers a good, stable, and popular alternative?
