Judge Jeanine scolded the president, urging him to get serious about fighting an enemy sworn to destroy us, to “stop defending Islam and start protecting Americans.”

In light of recent atrocities around the world like the Charlie Hebdo attacks in France and the Jordanian pilot who was burned alive in a cage, President Obama notes the wide range of offenders. Let’s face it, some things happen in the Middle East but some happen in Europe… 9/11 even happened in the USA! There’s no link between them. It’s a mystery as to what connection, if any, the perpetrators of such violent acts may or may not share.
Obama tells us: “Unless we get on our high horse and think that this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ,” Obama said. “In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ…. So it is not unique to one group or one religion,” Obama said.
Yes, terrible deeds committed in the name of Christ is what I worry about when I fly. If I were in the Middle East today, I would be very careful not to offend irrational Christians who might blow me up or behead me or burn me alive in a cage in the name of Christ. Obama nailed it.
Joe Scarborough mocked “this stupid left-wing moral equivalency” and noted “the president having to go back 700, 800, 900 years” for examples that shift the focus to Christianity. The point being that while history does show us many examples of barbarism, the curiously unnamed elephant in the room right now is Islam.
Governor Bobby Jindal’s responded to Obama’s political incorrectness by saying: “It was nice of the President to give us a history lesson at the Prayer breakfast. Today, however, the issue right in front of his nose, in the here and now, is the terrorism of Radical Islam, the assassination of journalists, the beheading and burning alive of captives. We will be happy to keep an eye out for runaway Christians, but it would be nice if he would face the reality of the situation today. The Medieval Christian threat is under control, Mr. President. Please deal with the Radical Islamic threat today.”
Obama specifically commented on those who burned the Jordanian pilot alive in a cage:
“Whatever ideology they’re operating off of is bankrupt.” Is it that unclear what ideology is in question? I think it might be, I don’t know, ISLAM
Ask yourself why Obama can’t seem to understand the obvious. Or say it.
Ask yourself why we don’t obliterate the entity whom our current leaders won’t even name clearly – for the lack of a clear name (ISIS/DAESH/ISIL/the Islamic State/the Islamic Caliphate) is a political choice which obfuscates what they are and what they stand for and the threat level they represent.
