That’s the title of this article
in which the writer describes Obama putting down the United States in foreign speeches and interfering in local matters of policy as if seeking “payback” for racial grievances from the past.
It reminds me of Dinesh D’Souza’s book The Roots of Obama’s Rage
which describes Obama’s politics as explained by anti-colonialism – the idea that Obama was heavily influenced by factors like:
being dark-skinned in a majority white nation, in majority white schools, in a land colonized by Europeans
years growing up in Hawaii near sugar plantations with cheap Asian laborers
years growing up in Indonesia with America bombing Vietnam nearby
years identifying with the shadow of a missing father from Kenya, a nation colonized by Great Britain
I think D’Souza makes sense. Could Obama, as president, seek payback against the ethnicities he sees (at least historically, if not currently) as offenders? Could he identify with international “victims” of neo-colonialism and seek payback from… America? Does he attempt to balance inequalities and level the playing field both internally/domestically – and internationally? Democrats typically aim to redistribute wealth from rich to poor – domestically. Communists are more likely to redistribute globally from North to South and West to East.
Some suggest he is a type of “Manchurian Candidate” working to defeat America from within.
I suggest the possibility of far worse…
