Once upon a time, the biggest threat to Europe (and America) was posed by Communism. Now the threat comes from Islamic Literalists – not extremists – just those who take Islam’s central message about jihad against non-believers seriously. Unlike Communism, which was fought against to an extreme and was viewed as the red menace by crusaders like Joe McCarthy – there is no fight against the Islamic threat in modern, liberal, multicultural, everything-is-equally-valid-so-there-are-no-values-of-our-own-to-defend Europe or America.
But even the Muslim mayor of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands, understands the cultural crisis in Europe. Mayor Abouataleb was born in Morocco, but he understands the situation in Europe. On Monday January 12, he said to extremist/literalist Muslims: “It is incomprehensible that you can turn against freedom… But if you don’t like freedom, for heaven’s sake pack your bags and leave. There may be a place in the world where you can be yourself, be honest with yourself and do not go and kill innocent journalists. And if you do not like it here because humorists you do not like make a newspaper, may I then say you can f*** off. This is stupid, this so incomprehensible. Vanish from the Netherlands if you cannot find your place here.” I hope he represents a large majority of Muslims who just want to assimilate into Europe’s peace and prosperity.

But if fellow Muslims want those who use violence to bring Sharia to Europe want them to “f**k off” and “vanish” from the country, imagine how many native Europeans feel.
The world is always changing. America was founded on Christianity; now we have a president who defends Islam and tells us “America is no longer a Christian nation.” Russia, which had been under the thumb of godless communists, now has Vladimir Putin wearing a cross and building churches, while the former communist propaganda newspaper – PRAVDA – has numerous articles promoting Christianity and the message of Jesus Christ. Situated between these superpowers which appear to be reversing their ideological roles sits Europe, where in some places the Muslim population is increasing almost 10 times faster than the non-Muslim population. There is terrorism like the massacre at Charlie Hebdo headquarters putting these issues in the global spotlight. Groups like PEGIDA in Germany show they can repeatedly organize tens of thousands of supporters against the Islamization of Europe at mass rallies. And even Muslim leaders in Europe are starting to tell belligerent Muslims to “f**k off.” What happens next?
