In traditional political thinking, Obama should be understood as an anti-colonialist who views the world of his youth (unfairly dominated by white Christian democracies of the West) as a horrible aberration which needs to be corrected. If he can lower the wealth, strength, power, and influence of America (and Europe) while raising the Third World to an equal level, he will try. Spending America into far worse debt, removing any semblance of Christianity from the nation, empowering potential enemies, encouraging illegal immigration, and denying the benefits of capitalism while promoting socialism – this is all natural for someone who doesn’t see that certain ethics and hard work contribute to building nations and businesses. Any success or imbalance was dumb luck, and his job is to correct the unfairness.
In not-so-traditional thinking, there is a great deal of evidence for an even worse alternative than a mere anti-Christian, anti-capitalist, Manchurian candidate who wants to destroy the horrible society he grew up in. For example: when meeting Morgan Freeman at a fundraiser many years ago, Obama said “This guy was president before I was,” referring to Freeman’s role as President Beck in Deep Impact. But then he added: “This guy was God before I was,” referring to his role in Bruce Almighty.
