A “Dutch entrepreneur has had two wireless computer chips implanted under the skin in his hands to allow him to store digital currencies like Bitcoin inside his body.”
With the embedded NFC (near-field communication) chips under his skin, he will soon be able to turn off his alarm clock or unlock the electronic lock on his front door with the wave of his hand near a sensor. These chips can also be read by smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Apple iPhone 6, and can be adapted for a wide range of uses.
I admit, some of the ideas which could eventually be possible through similar technology are amazing.
But of course, I can’t ignore the obvious connection between using an implanted microchip in your hand to store currency and other numerical data – with Revelation 13:17 when the Antichrist may use similar technology to discourage any black market resistance to HIS economy and enforce the use of HIS numbers through a mark in the hands: “and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark.”
Other than the biblical warning against a similar system of buying and selling – such a device will have many great uses and will undoubtedly be willingly implanted my millions of people within a few years. Those who take the Bible seriously may be wary of implanted devices in the hand or forehead – especially if after becoming popular voluntarily, they ever become a mandatory requirement by a certain leader.
