watch one pastor’s comments on the prophetic meaning of such poor US-Israeli relations here

(I have replaced my original, shorter post with the longer article I wrote here)

Try to imagine if Saddam Hussein had invaded a neighbor and then gone on TV and said that the American president was too “chickenshit” to respond as he should.  Imagine if Obama put NATO troops into Ukraine and said Putin is too “chickenshit” to respond as he should.  Obviously, such language intends to provoke a response, and cannot help any situation end peacefully or well.

On October 29, we were told that a senior White House official commented to a correspondent for “The Atlantic” Magazine and referred to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as a “Chickenshit” because he allegedly refuses to stand up against his own political party and deal with the Palestinian Authority as the Obama administration wants him to.  The Atlantic (and the Times of Israel) tell us that Obama administration officials have also referred to Netanyahu in many other derogatory terms, “adding that officials had previously called the prime minister ‘recalcitrant, myopic, reactionary, obtuse, blustering, pompous, and Aspergery.’”

If Ronald Reagan were president, the White House official who said these things would undoubtedly be found and prosecuted for leaking such negative information that harms relations with a strategic ally.  Of course we have a very different president now, and it is no surprise that no such actions are being taken.  Because the Department of Justice has pursued many others for doing far less, it is interesting that no one in Washington is talking about pursuing and punishing anyone for this matter – which could certainly harm US-Israeli relations. If this particular event is being ignored, it that because the administration wants worse relations with Israel?  Was this “senior official” unofficially Obama’s mouthpiece?

Yes, Secretary of State John Kerry did eventually phone Prime Minister Netanyahu to apologize on behalf of the Obama administration. But I think the “damage” to US-Israeli relations is deliberate and intentional.  If this is how bad the tension between the two governments is now – if this is how Obama’s staff treats Israel BEFORE the mid-term elections, how bad will they get once the elections pass by?

In an article in the Times of Israel, Netanyahu defends himself by saying that he was “personally attacked purely because I defend Israel, and despite all the attacks against me, I will continue to defend our country; I will continue to defend the citizens of Israel.”

In Genesis 12:3 the Bible tells us that those who bless Israel, God will bless, and that those who curse Israel, God will curse.  The Obama administration has called Israel’s leader a blustery, pompous chickenshit – which is as close to one nation openly cursing another as anything I can think of.  In my recent book, Antichrist 2016-2019: Mystery Babylon, Barack Obama & the Islamic Caliphate, I reviewed the reversals of fortune some nations have had after particularly good or bad treatment of Jews.  If you take the Bible seriously, the ongoing crisis in US-Israeli relations leads us to a few simple conclusions:

First, Obama seems to want bad relations with Israel.  He wants better relations with the Islamic world.  Second, Obama does not at all seem concerned about a lasting peace in the Middle East, because the relative peace in the last few decades has been purchased through unwavering American support of Israel, and American bribes paid every year to good, moderate nations like Egypt to keep them playing nice with Israel so long as they wish to receive billions in American aid every year.  And third, if you take the Bible seriously, America’s worsening relations with Israel are one of many signs that America has changed – that it “is no longer a Christian nation,” as Obama has reminded us, and also that it is no longer a godly or God-fearing nation.  It is a nation being more aligned towards the Islamic world.

I believe America is the Bible’s “Mystery Babylon” – and will suffer great wrath within a few years, including the probable loss of its greatest city to fiery destruction.  The city the Bible describes as making the merchants of the earth rich, sitting on many waters, known for a tower that reached to heaven before being brought down, known for a large population of Jews the Bible warns to leave before its destruction – a city symbolized by a woman on a pedestal holding a golden cup, a city that will be utterly destroyed by fire in the space of an hour… Couple those verses with President Obama’s concern with “the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan” and I think you know how I expect Bible prophecy to go for America in 2016.

Before 2016, I would expect Obama to demonize the Israelis.  I expect more negative comments about Netanyahu and Israeli policies.  I expect a new Palestinian nation soon in exchange for a new Jewish Temple – as key parts of the negotiated agreements already started along with Obama’s “Covenant of Peoples” tour.  If a certain “missing” Malaysian airliner is ever reintroduced into a flight pattern over the Atlantic Ocean and New York is nuked, who is likely to be blamed for it?  What nation will then completely turn on Israel as its leader walks into the new Temple in Jerusalem and demands submission?

If you understand the significance of these things, consider reading:
