Many people are discussing the “tetrad” of four “blood moons” in 2014 and 2015. Such red lunar eclipses happen fairly frequently, but it is very rare that they occur on Jewish holy days associated with Jesus Christ. These four blood moons occur on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles in 2014 and 2015. Of the few times eclipses have lined up with such holidays in the last millennium, the last two times have happened near major events for Israel. They occurred near 1948 when Israel was recreated as an independent nation, and they occurred near 1967 when the Israelis liberated the Temple Mount and unified East and West Jerusalem. In John Hagee’s book: Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change, he asks: “What historical event will take place during their occurrences that is significant to Israel and the Jewish people?” (p. 221) Many believe that these blood moons are signs from heaven that another major event for the Jewish people will happen within a year of these blood moons in 2014 and 2015 – that the Temple will be rebuilt. From my own research, it MUST exist by June 2016. It will be especially interesting if the lost Ark of the Covenant is discovered, prompting the establishment of a Temple to properly house it by early 2016.
