Jay Sekulow’s “Rise of ISIS” pointed out how ISIS was a violent offshoot of Al-Queda so extreme that their tactics had been rejected by most of Al-Queda. But the issue is not to judge over the degree of brutality between one group of Christian-slaying terrorists and another. If you read the first page of the Qu’ran, you get the idea – it gets to the point quickly about killing Jews and Christians. The “extremists” are “literalists” who take their religious book seriously. Unfortunately the Middle East is full of poor, angry young men without much hope socially or economically – and most have been taught to blame Israel and America and Christianity for all their problems.
