In the last few weeks I’ve taken a real beating in the international press.  It seems to have started with British tabloids and spread through Italy and Brazil until almost every country had articles about my books.  About the only one that hasn’t made fun of my books is Triumph the Insult Comic dog.  He hasn’t (yet) said that my books are great – “For me to poop on!”  I might as well join in for a laugh as I explain the hundreds of articles mocking me with phrases like: crackpot author David Montaigne” or “wingnut and serial false predictor David Montaigne.”

I’ve been written up as if I predicted the end of the world in 2002 – when what I actually said was that Nostradamus prophecies suggest a gradually intensifying 27 year world war between Islam and the West would start no later than early 2002.  I think an argument could be made for perpetual war since 9/11/2001…

I’ve been written up as if I said the world would end in 2016 and that “Obama is Lucifer” – but what I actually said in Antichrist 2016-2019 (a title that clearly does not indicate the world ending in 2016) was that biblical clues suggest America is Mystery Babylon, that New York is Mystery Babylon’s chief city, and that signs pointed to mid-2016 as the primary time when the Antichrist would achieve sudden political power – and that Obama seemed like the leader most likely to do that.  There were very significant clues like what his name means in Hebrew and what his name means in Farsi/this Persian prophecy and many other clues – enough to make one consider the possibility that the Antichrist would be an American president taking power in 2016 – if one considers Bible prophecy worth taking seriously at all…

I’ve been written up for suggesting that a POLE SHIFT will destroy the world as we know it soon (I do think that is a likely possibility in the first half of the 21st century) and that I claim with certainty that Bible prophecy warns we are definitely going to see the end of the world in December 2019 – when what I really do in my books (including End Times and 2019) is point out clues suggesting the end of 2019 as a possibility and why we should at least pay attention to such a convergence of coincidences pointing to the same week.

I assume the many people bashing my ideas mean well.  They probably want to protect the innocent and superstitious from charlatans and view me as one of them.  I assume the best of intentions, however pompous and ignorant they sound to me as they misrepresent most of the details… I realize that I must appear pompous and ignorant, and possibly evil – to them.  Although for the most part they cut and paste earlier mockery and clearly haven’t read much of what I’ve actually written – who can put in the time to properly investigate many things?

Well, an author can – when he or she is interested in the topic…

Now any or all of my interpretations may be wrong.  I hope they are!  I’m merely pointing out what I see and suggesting that those who are interested consider looking into it further.

I guess if I’m truly onto something, not only would time eventually prove it – but I would also continue to suffer a campaign to discredit my ideas – out of all proportion to my importance (I’m not famous.)  An army friend recently said: “You don’t take a lot of flak unless you’re over the target.”  I’m taking a lot of flak – possibly more than any crackpot justifies.

If I’m all wrong, both Europe and the Middle East will be peaceful, the world economy will be strong, there won’t be any sudden and dramatic changes in Mystery Babylon/The United States, and the Magnetic North Pole will stop racing away towards Russia.  2019 will end – uneventfully.  But if I’m right on much of what I’ve written…
