  1. Given the next pole shift will move the GP back to the equator (where it will still be axially aligned), in 2048, the new pole will be at Anchorage.

    Greenland will thus end up around the 60-70 degree latitude, with a climate currently typical of northern Europe.

    However, given there will be a complete ‘Great Reset’, I very much doubt there would be any continuity between pre-pole shift arrangements and post.

    Moreover, given oceanic slop and tectonic upheaval, it’ll probably be difficult for anyone familiar with the old map to locate the landmass that used to be Greenland.

    The first order of business will be locating what few habitable parts of the world remain (gradually increasing in number as the global upheaval settles down – volcanic ash, etc.), so that the millions of inhabitants sheltering in underground cities can emerge to colonise the new world.

    If the US does buy Greenland, it’ll probably be so that it can build an underground city there (if construction hasn’t already been started).
