Scott Creighton is author of many books but the one that comes to mind for me is one he co-authored with Gary Osborn called: The Giza Prophecy – in which he analyzes Egyptian pyramid measurements and calculates when the last catastrophic pole shift may have occurred – and when the next one is due (early 21st century)
Part of the book review I wrote for them on Amazon six years ago said:
“Early chapters focus on the suppression of scientific findings throughout history. Centuries ago, the Catholic Church was the greatest source of interference, imprisoning, coercing, torturing, and murdering anyone who refused to recant their findings and support the Church’s official views. More recently, especially in the field of Egyptology (though he has been known to express official contempt for new findings outside of Egypt as well) Zawi Hawass, has hindered the acceptance of many new ideas. He has held various official titles, including the Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs and Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities….
Eventually the authors get to the crux of their theories: that the planet has experienced devastating natural disasters, that they occur regularly at times based on a 13,000 year cycle which is half of a precession cycle, and that the pyramids were built by a technologically advanced civilization to reveal knowledge of this cycle of disasters to future civilizations. There is lengthy analysis of certain key issues, including the location of Giza for such a message, and the focus of 23.5 degree angles in many internal passageways and shafts inside the Great Pyramid. The authors agree with Robert Bauval that the three main pyramids represent the stars in Orion’s belt, and go further to suggest that the four “air shafts” in the pyramid all focus on the belt star Al-Nitak. Specifically, they claim that the open shafts mark the position of this star in recent times, and that the sealed shafts which do not continue all the way to the surface of the pyramid represent an ancient position of the star prior to the last shifting of the poles of the earth….
Readers interested in pole shifts or the idea that one may happen soon… will be intrigued by the authors’ analysis of a great circle defined by all the many pyramids at Giza, along with certain lines and angles with the sphinx. They conclude that “the Giza pyramids… served as an astronomical clock or calendar that would allow their descendants to know the precise timetable of this deadly Earth calamity and perhaps also the next date of the cycle.” (p. 263)
