The video below analyzes the geography of Jerusalem, along with historical records and relevant Bible verses – and makes a very strong case that what we know today as the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is NOT the correct site of the Temple of Solomon (or the later Second Temple of Herod.) The Dome of the Rock Mosque and the Wailing Wall are part of the Roman Fortress of Antonia, some 600 feet uphill from the City of David with the Gihon spring and the original site of the temple. If this theory is correct, it will make the fulfillment of end times Bible prophecy that much easier – because those who want to build a third Jewish temple won’t have to deal with opposition from the Islamic world if they don’t have to come close to the Dome of the Rock mosque. They will only have to overcome the traditional view on the Temple Mount, and convince everyone that the world has had the location wrong for the last thousand years.
