I don’t think the media is reporting just how desperate the situation in Puerto Rico has been since Hurricane Maria knocked out all of the island’s electricity.  We hear that cell phones don’t work, that many roads are flooded or blocked by mudslides or fallen trees, that it is difficult to get gasoline for generators, that food is limited in some places already, that hospitals without power or refrigeration or new medicine… we don’t hear that half the island has no water and that thirsty people are drinking contaminated river water – which could be spreading plague-like epidemics in no time…

We don’t hear that violence is increasing as people are more desperate and police can’t even be contacted… This is going to get much worse, fast, without a major military presence ASAP.

This is happening with a localized disaster, in part of a rich and powerful nation that remains intact and can send help.  With my anticipation of a catastrophic pole shift coming in the not that distant future – what will happen when a disaster of biblical proportions strikes the entire globe, and help never comes?
