Inspired by a religiously themed breakfast cereal I stumbled on recently:
Ezekiel 4:9 “Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley…“
and having found a local cornfield with less than a foot of the last winter crop of wheat or barley (I can’t tell the difference) abandoned at the edge of the corn along the public walking path – my kids gathered some wheat (or barley) and had fun with it:
last night we ground it in a grain mill I bought, and the kids LOVED separating the wheat from the chaff, and grinding it into flour in the mill. This morning as I write this I’m baking wheat bread out of what they produced, along with a raspberry crisp – since we have also been harvesting thousands of fresh raspberries next to my house.
and finally
Psalm 65:11 “You crown the year with a bountiful harvest”
I feel very blessed to have the freedom to write prophecy books as I see events unfolding – and to have wonderful children and to be able to gather wonderful, natural, delicious food outside for them.
