By now everyone has heard that the United States successfully assassinated Iran’s prominent General, the second most powerful man in Iran (though he was busy killing Americans in Iraq when he was killed) Qassem Soleimani. Senator Lindsey Graham said: “To the Iranian government: If you want to stay in the oil business leave America and our allies alone and stop being the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world.” Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei quickly vowed “harsh retaliation” in response to Soleimani’s assassination, and Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif accused the U.S. of committing “an act of state terrorism.”
Iran has sponsored terrorism as far away as Argentina: Wikipedia notes “On 18 July 1994, there was an attack on the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) building in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which killed 85 people and injured hundreds. It was Argentina’s deadliest bombing ever. Argentina accused Tehran in 2006 of being behind the attacks. Iran was responsible for the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania. They support Hamas and Hezbollah against Israel, and Yemeni rebels against Saudi Arabia. Iran has supported the Taliban in Afghanistan, and many anti-American militias in Iraq. Iran arranged the attack on the U.S.S. Cole, and the very recent attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Iraq.
Of course that didn’t stop a shitbag journalist from the leftist New York Times from posting an image of the general reciting poetry and portraying him as a gentle man wronged by evil America. Dinesh D’Souza commented: “This comes as close as this left-wing journalist dares to a eulogy for Soleimani. How could he be this evil figure? The man was a gentle soul and a lover of poetry! Next up: A touching photograph of Hitler painting a sunset…” Some Iranians made tweets like: “The murderer of Iranians, Iraqis, Syrians, Israelis, Yemenis, Lebanese, US Soldiers & head of the IRGC’s foreign wing, or Qods Force, Gen. Qasem Soleimani, Killed in Iraq. As an Iranian, I want to thank you with all my heart President Trump!”
Iran’s supreme leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, warned in a statement that the “criminals” responsible for the death of a top Iranian general will face “severe revenge”, and that his work fighting on behalf of the Iranian people “won’t be stopped by his martyrdom,” according to a statement published on Twitter. Some suggest U.S. war hawks are salivating because now a war with Iran is “inevitable.”
What Does Nostradamus Say About Iran?
If the United States goes to war with Iran, Nostradamus suggests there will be major setbacks for the West.
He suggests that – at least initially) America will be unable to help Europe resist an Islamic invasion led by Iran and Turkey. Perhaps America will be suffering from economic collapse, or civil war, or the aftermath of a first strike… Eventually he says the Islamic alliance (probably allied with China) will be defeated around late 2028.
Nostradamus warned in Quatrain 9:100 of his prophecies:
“Naval battle night will overcome
Fire in the ships to the West ruin,
New trick, the great ship colored,
Anger to the vanquished, and victory in a drizzle.”
In other related quatrains, Nostradamus warns of a “gift presented to those of the Ocean [from] a chief of the fleet (will leave) from Carmania” – a province in Iran. I suspect the “gift” will be more like a Trojan horse, a weapon brought to use against the major naval power “those of the Ocean” – which could also refer to people across the ocean in the New World – likely America either way you look at it.
As I have argued in my books for years, the vastly improved effective range of anti-ship missiles has changed the game and made aircraft carriers very vulnerable targets if they come close to enemy lands. They would have to stay far from the enemy coast to be somewhat safe (and are still vulnerable to other missiles.) As this Bloomberg article said years ago: “These massive ships were never intended to take on jihadists and other asymmetric threats. But it’s no longer clear that they would be useful in a war against a major power such as Russia or a middling one such as Iran. The Pentagon has spent billions outfitting aircraft carriers with air defenses that are unproven, and the relatively short range of their planes –- an F/A-18 Hornet has to turn around at roughly 500 miles — leaves them vulnerable to land-based missiles that can travel twice that far.

I’m not saying this means war is imminent. I’m not saying Iran thinks it’s worth sinking a carrier even if they can. But someday, such foolishness of putting aircraft carriers in harms way will lead a potential enemy with an itchy trigger finger to take the bait and start a war much like Japan did in 1941. It worked out for America in the long run back then, but at quite a cost. How would war work out today?

Ishmaelites would refer to the Islamic side, Crusaders the Western or American side. Elite galleys could be commandos on small attack boats.
Quatrain 3:90
The great Satyr and Tiger of Hyrcania, Gift presented to those of the Ocean: A fleet's chief will set out from Carmania, One who will take land at the Tyrren Phocaean.
Hyrcania was a Persian province, as is Carmania – now the southern coastal region of Iran. The fleet’s chief is usually translated as “Admiral.” “Those of the Ocean” probably means the dominant naval power coming from overseas – Americans. The “gift” is not going to be the kind you want for your birthday. More the kind of “package” delivery from a movie like The Sum of All Fears.
Hopefully, the current tensions blow over without escalating into the major war that has been predicted.
Quatrain 5:8
“There will be unleashed live fire, hidden death,
Horrible and frightful within the globes,
At night by the fleet the city reduced to dust,
The city on fire, the enemy amenable.”
Could we have asked Nostradamus for a better description of a ship-launched nuclear attack on a city? Nostradamus gives latitudes of four cities that suffer special destruction soon, including New York and Rome. WW3 is being talked up. As I’ve pointed out before, it will be used to distract the masses as magnetospheric matters manifest. However, WW3 has to be reasonably plausible (archduke Ferdinand notwithstanding for WW1), which requires plenty of contributory factors.
