I already wrote about the astronomical lineup in November 2019 in which Mayan mythology plays out in the sky in the “Birth of the Hero Twins” in an earlier blog post and in the book: End Times and 2019: The End of the Mayan Calendar and the Countdown to Judgment Day.

Hero Twins Venus Jupiter Moon

Long story short – the twins’ father – One Hunapu – the winter solstice sun – is killed by the Lords of the Underworld, decapitated, and his head is placed in the cleft of a tree.  This corresponds to the precessional arrival of the winter solstice sun at the galactic center near Sagittarius and Scorpio, where there is a dark rift in the cosmic “tree” that is our Milky Way galaxy. Many myths and religions describe several days of darkness or even the death of their sun god (before a resurrection) at this point.

The galactic center is located at this critical point – allegedly not discovered until modern times – yet our zodiac points right to it with its only two pointers.  The arrow of Sagittarius and the stinger of Scorpio both point to the galactic center – as if the zodiac were designed for this purpose.

(Our sun approaches this point now)

The dangerous astronomical space between these two pointy weapons has a role in almost every culture’s mythology.  It is where Egypt’s Ra is stung by the scorpion and dies (only to be replaced with a new sun god.)  It is “the valley of the shadow of death” where the serpent, like the scorpion, strikes the heel of Jesus.  And it is where the Mayan sun god One Hunapu dies.  All of these lead me to think we may have more than a proverbial three days of darkness when the winter solstice sun crosses the galactic axis.

But it does this every year for dozens of years (before another 25,800 or so years when it doesn’t.)  Our moment in history is the window of time for these events to play out.  We know these events are foretold to happen at the winter solstice.  But do we have enough information to figure out the year?  In End Times and 2019: The End of the Mayan Calendar and the Countdown to Judgment Day – I argue that there is a lot of evidence pointing to December 21-28, 2019 – from both biblical and Mayan prophecies.

If the Mayan details mean anything, the event is linked to the Hero Twins saving the day and allowing the rebirth of a new sun and a new world.  It can’t happen before they are born.  Their birth is described as a conjunction of Venus and Jupiter near the galactic center while there is a waning crescent moon in the east.  Jupiter crosses the galactic center this November 19 (at 27 degrees 7 minutes Sagittarius, near the edge where the constellation meets Scorpio) and aligns with Venus on November 23 when there is a waning crescent moon.

But while the Birth of the Hero Twins must happen first, their victory over the Lords of the Underworld is achieved by winning the Mayan ballcourt game against them – in which a ball (representing the winter solstice sun) is sent through the goal hoop (representing the black hole at the galactic center) – which the Maya even called a “black hole.”

Our sun at any given point in its annual cycle (the vernal equinox, for example – or in this case, the winter solstice) migrates in a loop around the background cycle of our sky in a cycle of axial precession of just under 26,000 years.  The winter solstice sun exists every December 21 but its position in front of background stars slowly changes.  As the sun is about half a degree wide, and it takes 72 years to precess one degree, the winter solstice sun began touching the galactic axis around December 21, 1980.  It touched the galactic axis for the last time on the winter solstice on December 21, 2018. In terms of the myth of the Mayan ballcourt game, 2108’s winter solstice sun ball had almost completely passed through the game hoop of the black hole galactic center.  In 2019, the sun ball is through and the game will be declared over.  Does this myth mean that it is “game over” for our world?

Everyone focused on the end of the Mayan Long Count Calendar on December 21, 2012 and worried about the end of the world then.  But their astronomical depiction of the end of the present world age didn’t match the skies of 2012.  It (as depicted on page 74 of the Dresden Codex of the Popul Vuh, with “water-over-the-world” during an alignment of four planets near the center of the Milky Way) does happen exactly seven years later on December 21, 2019.

This myth could not have ended before the Birth of the Hero Twins, and they are about to be born on November 23, 2019 to fulfill their prophetic destiny and end this cycle.  The Mayan myth of twins in the sky during cosmic, earth-shaking events culminating in water-over-the-world are very similar to other Native American myths including the Hopi “twins” of the North and South Poles, who leave their stations and allow the world to flip over in a catastrophic pole shift.

I realize most readers aren’t (and shouldn’t) going to get scared about December 2019 because some Native American myths suggest it is the end of our present world.  But many readers will pay more attention to Bible prophecy, and dozens of biblical clues also point to the fulfillment of end times prophecies during Hanukkah in 2019, when the sun, moon, and planets also move in ways that appear to act out all the major steps of an ancient Jewish wedding ceremony that may represent Christ coming for His bride.

It may all be just a pile of meaningless coincidences.  But when enough clues point to the same conclusion, I have to at least pay attention.

Here are just a few of the clues:

In one of the first steps of the old wedding ceremony, the groom is front and center first, then the bride comes and circles the groom seven times before the other steps begin.  I think that we are the bride and astronomically Earth is the bride.  Jesus is representative of the groom and the Sun.  The Earth orbits the Sun seven times from 12/21/2012 to 12/21/2019.

There is only ONE biblical story that tells us exactly when a great king chooses and marries his bride.  Jews know this story if they celebrate Purim; others may just know the story from the Book of Esther.  (What they may not know is how symbolic and astronomical the whole story is – the main characters in the Jewish story of Purim – Mordecai, Esther, Haman, and Ahasueras – really represent Marduk, Ishtar, Ahriman, and Ahura-Mazda.)

This story was heavily influenced by the knowledge of the magi, the same group of Persian astronomers – the wise men from the east – who calculated the birth of Christ and showed up in Israel looking for Him only to find that King Herod and the Jewish rabbis of the time had completely forgotten the astronomical traditions Daniel knew – and had not remembered to expect the Messiah at the time of a certain conjunction.

In the story of Purim, in the Book of Esther, the Persian King Ahasueras (Xerxes) becomes displeased with Queen Vashti and chooses a new bride, Esther.  (Oh, the symbolism….)  Long celebrations end with “a seven-day drinking feast” for the inhabitants of the Persian capital of Susa, but when the drunken king orders Queen Vashti to dance naked for everyone, she refuses.  The king selects Esther as his new bride, there is a week of other events, and Esther becomes queen on the first day of the month of Tevet which this year starts at sunset on December 28, 2019 (the date I suggest as our possible Judgement Day in End Times and 2019.)

I think the week of this wedding corresponds to the creation week in Genesis, where the Earth was re-created from a chaotic former state with a week-long pole shift.  In Haggai 2:6 We are told “For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.'”  This is on the 24th day of the ninth month – Kislev 24, the day before Hanukkah starts – this is December 21, 2019 – when the Lord suggests another pole shift.

Some additional Bible verses suggesting a pole shift include:

Isaiah 13:13 “I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken from its place.”
Isaiah 24:1 “Behold, the Lord lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants.”
Job 9:5-6 “It is God who removes the mountains, they know not how, When He overturns them in His anger; Who shakes the earth out of its place, And its pillars tremble.”
Psalms 46:2 “though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea.”

Haggai 2:6 “For thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.”

Revelation 6:14 “The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Revelation 21:1 “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away…”

You might be thinking that Bible prophecy alone does not tell us what year this will occur, only the time of year – that only with the addition of Mayan information can we hone in on 2019.  But that is not true.  Matthew 24:20 warns us about this time and says: “pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.”  But December 21, 2019 is the first day of winter, and it is Saturday (the Jewish Sabbath.)

There are also other parts of the wedding ceremony that only play out in the sky this year; for example, Jupiter will appear (from Earth) to be moving in and out of the corona at the edge of the sun from December 27-28.  If Jesus is the light and the Sun and the door (In John 10:9 Jesus says: “I am the door“) – this corresponds to the best man knocking at the door of the bridal chamber at the end of the wedding.

Prior to that is an even more impressive astronomical lineup – at the precise stage in the wedding ceremony when the groom has exactly eight minutes for the “yichud” portion of the wedding ceremony when he gives the ring to the bride – Earth will see the “diamond ring effect” of a total solar eclipse – in which the solar corona is visible around the moon.

Solar eclipses last a maximum of about 7 minutes 40 seconds, depending on the exact distance of the moon at that time.  This December 26, Isaiah 13:10 will also be fulfilled: “The sun shall be dark when it rises.”  A total solar eclipse will be visible from Jerusalem at sunrise!

There is much more detail on all of this in End Times and 2019.
