Early exit polls in Israel suggest a near tie between incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Chief of Staff of the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] Benny Gantz.  On one site I see an exact tie:

“With 95 percent of the votes counted, Likud and Kahol Lavan are tied at 35 seats each”

I also see “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party gets 37 out of 120 Knesset seats, according to partial results in Israel’s general election. With 79 percent of the votes counted, Benny Gantz’s [“Blue and White” party] Kahol Lavan is only slightly behind with 36 seats.”

But everywhere I look, the conclusion is the same – even if Gantz received slightly more votes, Netanyahu would still be far more likely to form a coalition government and remain Prime Minister because several other right wing parties that will back him got significant portions of the vote.  If I am counting correctly, secondary right wing parties will add 26 seats to Likud’s (Netanyahu’s party) 35-37 seats… but secondary left wing parties only have 11 seats to add to Gantz’s 35-36 seats for Kahol Lavan, perhaps with a few more seats from Arab parties.

The New York Times, as of almost midnight EST April 9, said: “Likud and Blue and White appeared to have won at least 35 seats each in the 120-seat parliament. But the right-wing and religious parties together commanded a potential majority of at least 65 seats, leaving the center-left bloc trailing far behind with 55.”

Israeli news site Haaretz says “Ultra-Orthodox parties Shas and United Torah Judaism, both likely to back Netanyahu as next prime minister, have eight and seven seats, respectively.  Right-wing Yisrael Beiteinu, led by former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, as well as left-wing Labor, both have six seats.  Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon’s Kulanu, Meretz, the Union of Right-Wing Parties and Arab-majority Hadash-Ta’al all have five seats.”

What does all this mean for the fulfillment of end times prophecy?

Keep in mind that America’s President Trump has recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights captured from Syria in 1967, and cut funding to the Palestinians.  And in February, Trump announced he had a Peace Plan for the Middle East, with a deal of the century offer he would keep secret until after April 9 so as not to interfere in Israel’s election.  It is now April 10 – expect to read about all the details of Trump’s Middle East Peace Plan soon.

I have heard that Netanyahu said he will annex the West Bank (won from Jordan in 1967) if re-elected, and I have heard that Gantz said he would immediately begin construction of the Third Jewish Temple in Jerusalem – the day he would take office.  From what I see on BreakingIsraelNews, this is more the hope of Moishe Feiglin of the Zehut Party – who expected 5-7 seats in the Kennesset – but early results suggest perhaps three seats, or even zero, if the Zehut party fails to get a minimum 3.25% electoral threshold for seats.

No matter what the exact election outcome is – Israel and the Middle East are changing.  Israel is no longer being pressured by a pro-Muslim American president Obama… Israel, and Netanyahu in particular are supported by a pro-Israeli President Trump.  Expect events that lead to tensions, wars, the end of talk of a Palestinian state, and possibly a Third Jewish Temple.  Expect more people to start talking about an Antichrist and end times tribulation.
