My readers already know the magnetic North Pole was last reported moving over forty miles per year from Canada towards Russia before the government stopped allowing access to the data.  (We can assume the acceleration has continued and it has moved even farther in the last few years, despite the government downgrading the rate of movement.  34 miles per year is common in articles now.  It used to be more, and I suspect it still is moving faster than they admit.)

In the image above based on American data (which I suspect has been revised to indicate less polar movement than has really happened since 2010, as the trend was accelerating until it allegedly slowed down recently) you can still see the long-term trend of an accelerating movement of the Magnetic North Pole – with the movement from 1900 to 1990 roughly equal to the movement from 1990 to 2010.  Most other Western maps are about the same:

But not all maps suggest the same slow pace of movement for the Magnetic North Pole.

Maybe the map above, predicting landfall of the NMP in Russia in 2015 is too aggressive.  Could the real answer lie somewhere in between?  Could the USGS, NOAA, and American government in general be lying about the rate of movement of the Magnetic North Pole – telling us it is slowing down when in reality it has been speeding up?  Some say yes:

One site claims: “NOAA made some significant and apparently linear changes to the pole location data going back to the years 2001 through 2010. The most noticeable result of the changes that they made was an overall linear slow down of the shift during the past decade, although still currently high at 30 miles per year. They have projected positional data through 2015 and have slowed the pace of movement each subsequent year from 30 miles (2012) to 24 miles (2015).”

“Phil Livermore, a geomagnetist at the University of Leeds, UK, said at the American Geophysical Union meeting ‘the location of the north magnetic pole appears to be governed by two large-scale patches of magnetic field, one beneath Canada and one beneath Siberia,’ Livermore says.  ‘The Siberian patch is winning the competition.'”

This Russian map puts the Magnetic North Pole closer to Russia in 2015 than American maps do, and claims landfall in Siberia by 2045:

Russian maps and articles put the Magnetic North Pole much farther along in its movement to Siberia.  This article from Ukraine:

says is has already reached the Taimyr Peninsula in Russia!  (See commentary in English)

Even the conservative estimates place the North Magnetic Pole in Russia by 2050.  This represents an astounding overall movement since 1900 and indicates something dramatic happening below the surface of the Earth.

Evidence linking the geographic poles with the magnetic poles, and linking polar movement with mass extinctions, seems to indicate that we are due for a catastrophic POLE SHIFT soon.

Many more categories of evidence are covered in detail in the new book:

Earth’s Poles Show Signs Of FLIPPING: Widespread Grid Failures Imminent

which undoubtedly inspired this Zerohedge.com article:

The Earth’s Magnetic Field Is Shifting, Poles May Flip: “This Could Get Bad”

Scientists from the University of Colorado in Boulder are sounding the alarm that the Earth’s magnetic poles are showing signs of reversing. Although the pole reversal, in and of itself, isn’t unprecedented, the solar winds that would take out the power grid and make parts of the globe uninhabitable could cause widespread disasters.

The Earth has a fierce molten core that generates a magnetic field capable of defending our planet against devastating solar winds. This magnetic field is vital to life on Earth and has weakened by 15 percent over the last 200 years. This protective field acts as a shield against harmful solar radiation and extends thousands of miles into space and its magnetism affects everything from global communication to power grids.

“The shield that protects the Earth from solar radiation is under attack from within. We can’t prevent it, but we ought to prepare…” is the ominous sub-headline of a worrisome new report that shows scientists around the world fearing that the earth’s magnetic field is shifting, with potentially disastrous consequences for mankind.”

“When next the poles change places, the consequences for the electrical and electronic infrastructure that runs civilization will be dire. The question is when that will happen.”

“The latest satellite data, from the European Space Agency’s Swarm trio which monitors the Earth’s magnetic field, suggests a pole flip may be imminent. The satellites allow researchers to study changes building at the Earth’s core, where the magnetic field is generated. Their observations suggest molten iron and nickel are draining the energy out of the Earth’s core near where the magnetic field is generated. While scientists aren’t sure why exactly this happens, they describe it as a “restless activity” that suggests the magnetic field is preparing to flip.”

The signs of the Earth’s poles reversing are also apparent to Daniel Baker, who says this would devastate the power grid. If a switch happens, we would likely be exposed to solar winds capable of punching holes into the ozone layer. In a new report, Baker, who is the director of the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics at the University of Colorado in Boulder, claims if this reversal happens, it is likely to render some areas of the planet “uninhabitable” by knocking out power grids.

“Imagine for a moment your electrical power supply was knocked out for a few months – very little works without electricity these days.”

“No lights. No computers. No cellphones. Even flushing a toilet or filling a car’s gas tank would be impossible. And that’s just for starters.”

Researchers predict that in the event of a flip, every year a hundred thousand people would die from the increased levels of space radiation. Radiation at ground level would increase so much that some estimates suggest overall exposure to cosmic radiation would double causing more deaths from cancer. “Radiation could be 3-5 times greater than that from the man-made ozone holes. Furthermore, the ozone holes would be larger and longer-lived,” said D. Colin Forsyth from the Mullard Space Science Laboratory at UCL.”

But if the magnetic pole flip is just the first stage, and a rotational POLE SHIFT follows to realign with the new magnetic field, then we are in a for a major catastrophe.

If the entire crust of the planet moves as a solid piece over the core again, as it did at the end of North America’s “Ice Age” when it caused the Pleistocene Extinction event – then we could see Lake Baikal in Siberia at the new North Pole, with Atlanta on the new equator.  Most of the world’s population would quickly die from tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, changes in sea level, and the end of civilization as we know it.

Sadly, a great deal of evidence suggests this happens based on a cosmic cycle every 12-13,000 years, and it has been over 12,900 years since the last pole shift moved the North Pole from Hudson Bay to its present location.  If interested in more details, read:
