The Action Lab gave a presentation on how 3D objects appear to a 2-dimensional “flatlander” and how 4D objects would appear to us in 3 dimensions. They also explained how a 4D being would be able to see inside 3D objects and know everything about them, all the time. This is good stuff just for the physics perspective.

I can’t help but consider the religious perspective as well. Assuming God exists, He is probably multidimensional, existing in and beyond our limited 3 dimensions of space and one of time. He would, like the hypothetical 4D beings in the video above, perceive our 3D reality from an all-knowing perspective, knowing us inside and out, and simultaneously aware of past, present, and future events.

I believe some humans have a limited ability to control multidimensional perception.
I believe our spirit is very real, and is a more vast consciousness by far than the small part we are aware of in our earthly existence. The connection to the spiritual “rest of us” – our greater whole – is blocked… presumably to allow a limited but important experience in this lifetime. Our brains aren’t designed for the full connection, and constantly attempt to filter it out, but the occasional feeling of deja vu, the precognitive dream, even the gift of prophecy – I know they are real. The conclusions of my books on prophecies may be arguable, but the ability exists, even if you and I can’t see or understand like a multidimensional God can.
