The first POLE SHIFT book I ever read was written by Rand Flem-Ath (and his wife Rose) – When The Sky Fell: In Search of Atlantis.  The basic ideas were that pole shifts periodically move the entire surface of the earth over the core, repositioning every continent simultaneously – including Atlantis, which sunk to the bottom of the world, because that civilization was centered on Antarctica, which was not entirely frozen over until about 13,000 years ago, when it moved towards what is now our South Pole.  (A less well known Italian author, Admiral Flavio Barbiero, also wrote a book on a similar theory some years earlier: http://slideplayer.com/slide/3889016/)  I cover details from both of these authors, and many others, in my recent book:

Pole Shift: Evidence Will Not Be Silenced

In addition to factual evidence supporting such ideas, there are astounding rumors (which I can’t corroborate) like: “recent visits made there by high profile globalists and claims made by some that a worldwide cover-up was going on after allegedly ‘top secret’ emails of John Podesta were found on Wikileaks that had a series of photographs of Antarctica attached.” (source)

From Youtube:

“Researcher and author Rand Flem Ath presents new evidence suggesting Antarctica is actually The Lost Continent of Atlantis. Rand Flem-Ath is a librarian and author from British Columbia, Canada. He is best known for his books The Atlantis Blueprint: Unlocking the Ancient Mysteries of a Long Lost Civilization, and Atlantis beneath the Ice:

The Fate of the Lost Continent about the lost continent of Atlantis and the theory of Earth crust displacement. Did Atlantis really exist? If so, where? Rand Flem-Ath a thesis that there was an ancient continent, and that it housed a very sophisticated civilization, and that its existence was known about and for various reasons suppressed, that myths from all over the world preserve a remarkably consistent description of what happened to it, and that the true story of lost Atlantis explains many key conundrums about life on this planet. Inspired by catastrophe theory (in particular the pattern and effects of earth-crust displacement), as well as ancient maps showing remarkably accurate delineation of land-masses, the corroborative content of myth from tribal American Indians to Plato – and further encouraged by the discovery that the Sphinx is much older than previously thought …Rand sought a climatic explanation for how people could have once lived on the now icy continent. The answer came by reading the books of Professor Charles Hapgood with whom he corresponded about the theory of earth crust displacement from 1977 to 1982 (when Hapgood died). In 1981, Rand published in the scientific literature using the theory of earth crust displacement to explain the sudden global rise of agriculture around 9,600 B.C. (the Plato date for the destruction of Atlantis). Rand then embarked upon a comprehensive study of world mythology using the resources of the Reading Room of the British Museum.”
